Krista has become one of the most relevant creative forces in the entertainment industry. As a writer, creative director and stage director, her experience and expertise encompass a remarkable range of live entertainment genres including circus, concert, theater, international special events, and social action. For over 25 years, she has committed her professional life to bringing stories and emotion to life with extraordinary vision, inspiring presence and dedication to creative excellence.
After years as an award-winning choreographer and tap dancer in her native Canada, Monson worked for Cirque du Soleil for 13 years: as Artistic Director of “O” in Las Vegas, as Casting Director for Resident Shows Worldwide and as Author, Creative, and Show Director for three original productions. Other credits include the first woman in 100 years to serve as Author and Director of VIVID at the Friedrichstadt Palast in Berlin, Creative Director of the first World Humanitarian Summit by the United Nations in Istanbul, Choreographer for Céline Dion in Las Vegas, as well as collaborations with Sony PlayStation, The Hunger Games Exhibition at MGM in Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden, Five Currents, Dragone, Malevo (Argentina), Cisco Live! USA, and the IAAF World Championships in Athletics Opening Ceremonies, the 3rd largest sporting event in the world.
